Linking to the Reserve List
Library
Creating direct links to Reserve lists, for example from Nexus
Instructors may wish to place a link to their Reserve list on a web page, such as their personal home page. To link to readings for all courses by the same instructor:
- go to the Reserves by Instructor’s Name page at
http://libcat.uwinnipeg.ca/search/r
- enter your last name in the search box and submit the form
- browse to find your full name, and note exactly how it is listed, e.g. Fudd Elmer
- replace every space in the name with a “
+
” (this will convert the name to URL-encoded format, meaning it is safe to pass in a URL) - place
http://libcat.uwinnipeg.ca/search/r?SEARCH=
in front of the URL-encoded name - the result — e.g.
http://libcat.uwinnipeg.ca/search/p?SEARCH=Fudd+Elmer
— is the persistent link to the Reserve readings for the course
