The mission of the University of Winnipeg Library & Information Services is to provide and organize the educational materials necessary to effectively support the teaching, research and other programs offered at the University of Winnipeg.
Internal committees and organization
The Librarians’ Committee, which is chaired by a librarian selected by the UWFA librarians, meets regularly with the University Librarian to discuss library issues of mutual interest, including library policies, the organization and delivery of library services, and librarian workload guidelines, duties, and responsibilities.
Feedback from our clients
LibQUAL+ is a rigorously tested Web-based survey used by many academic libraries in North America and around the world to solicit, track, understand, and act upon users’ opinions of service quality. The University of Winnipeg Library first used LibQUAL+ in 2008. We completed our second survey in 2010 and will now expect to conduct LibQUAL+ surveys every three years hence to be on the same cycle as a significant cohort of other Canadian Academic Libraries. Our preliminary analysis of the 2010 LibQUAL+ survey results shows an improvement over our 2008 results.
