Open Education Week - Open Courses
Mon. Mar. 9, 2015
In honour of Open Education Week, the UW librarians are putting together a selection of free educational resources for you. Today, we begin by looking some places to find complete university-level courses online.
There are quite a few post-secondary institutions that have opened up a portion of their course offerings to any person who’s interested. This often takes the shape of video lectures and recommended course readings, but some are full-featured courses, including quizzes, tests, online discussions, and even peer-evaluated written assignments. These courses are sometimes called MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses).
Try one of these courses to learn something new or get a refresher on a topic you’ve already studied here at the University of Winnipeg.
