Library


The library offers assistance using library systems and other campus computing support services and technology infrastructure. 

The University of Winnipeg Library allows the consumption of food and beverages within reason and in most public areas of the Library.  However, food and beverages of any kind are prohibited at the Library's computers.

Reference Room Computers

Use one of the five Express Computers for short term work (limited use up to five minutes). Use one or two multimedia/accessibility or 22 general use computers near the Reference Desk, for research and writing papers.

John R. Pitcairn Learning Commons

Visit the John R. Pitcairn Learning Commons, which is a multipurpose learning space designed to accommodate the diverse needs of today's students. Check the Library Calendar to see when classes may be booked in this area.

Computers on the Fifth Floor

Use one of ten computers on the East side of the quad on the fifth floor.

Printing, Photocopying and Scanning

The library and its associated computer labs provide self-serve printing, photocopying and scanning.

Group Study Rooms

The library has two bookable group study rooms for students interested in working in small groups.

Library Proxy Server

The Library's proxy server provides access to our subscription resources for off-campus users.

LibProxy Bookmarklet

In cases where you were not directed through the Library website or catalogue to a subscription resource, the UWpg LibProxy bookmarklet will help you access resources from off campus as if you were on the University of Winnipeg campus.

Wireless Internet Access

The University of Winnipeg has created a campus wireless network for use by faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Wireless access is available across campus.
