Workshop: Intro to Copyright & Course Reserves
Wed. Nov. 27, 2019
Faculty and instructors who share course readings through Nexus are invited to this hands-on session about copyright and the Ares Course Reserves System. The first portion of the workshop will review how copyright law and fair dealing apply to course materials. The second portion will demonstrate how to use Ares for sharing course reserves with your students in compliance with fair dealing guidelines. Attendees will then have the opportunity to practice with Ares and have their questions answered by copyright and course reserves experts.
To get the most out of this session, attendees are encouraged to request their Nexus courses no later than December 3 and to bring a copy of their assigned readings list. Please note that while there is no pre-requisite to attend the Introduction to Nexus workshop, a basic familiarity with Nexus is expected.
