The first session will cover basic editorial choices for setting up a new online journal or duplicating a print journal. We will discuss the OJS system, including the hosted journal options available at UWinnipeg and the scholarly publishing team available to help, and go over copyrights, publication agreements, and other licensing concerns. We will also touch on sustainability/ funding models for journals, including the funding offered to Canadian journals through Érudit.
