Donate books to support incarcerated Manitobans and their families

In support of the Manitoba Library Association Prison Libraries Committee, which supports incarcerated Manitobans and their families, the Library will be accepting gently-used books at the Circulation Desk during normal hours until Friday, May 31.

The University of Winnipeg Library is one of several drop-off locations throughout the city. The items donated will be used in MLA PLC's annual Book and Bake Sale on Saturday, June 22. Proceeds from the book sale benefit the MLA PLC and the Bar None Prison Rideshare Project.

Please make sure books are clearly marked to go to the MLA PLC Book Drive and not intended as a donation to the University of Winnipeg Library. MLA PLC prefers novels, popular non-fiction, how-to books, biographies, children's books, graphic novels, and books by Indigenous writers (no textbooks, encyclopedias, or magazines).
