Canada Post Strike and Interlibrary Loan
Fri. Nov. 15, 2024
Last Update: November 22 at 12:08 p.m.
Print books and other physical materials will not be available via interlibrary loan for the duration of the Canada Post strike. Requests for electronic materials (i.e. PDFs of articles and book chapters) will still be processed as usual. Full ebooks are not available through interlibrary loan due to copyright and licensing restrictions. Request forms for journal articles and book chapters can be found on the Interlibrary Loan page.
University of Winnipeg students, staff, and faculty are entitled to reciprocal borrowing privileges at the University of Manitoba. If you require material held by the University of Manitoba, you may visit any of their library locations with your UWinnipeg ID card to establish an account and borrow materials directly.
UPDATE: As of November 22, print materials available at the University of Manitoba may be requested via interlibrary loan. Staff will notify patrons if their request cannot be fulfilled for any reason.
