This Winter Term, the library offers five Ready, Set, Go workshops designed to level up your research skills. Join our Librarian, Ian Fraser, for one session or more to explore new tools and discover valuable tips that will help you in your studies. Registration is required to participate.
Winter Term Schedule
- Introduction to the Library (January 13): Attend this first workshop to learn more about the library's collections and services and get some useful tips for finding and using academic information.
- Search Strategies (January 20): Learn how to construct thoughtful searches so that you can find those 3-5 academic sources your professor is asking for.
- Finding Credible Sources (January 27): Join our librarian to discuss evaluating sources so you can be sure the information you're using is credible.
- Generative AI and Academic Research (February 10): Come discuss the implications of using Generative AI technologies and learn how they might be used to legitimately support your learning.
- Citing and Referencing Sources (February 24): Come learn the basic principles of citing and referencing your sources to ensure you're doing honest work.
