Join us for a workshop on using Open Educational Resources

March 3-7 is Open Education Week. This annual event hosted by OE Global promotes and celebrates Open Education, a movement to offer equal access to high-quality educational resources and experiences. To celebrate Open Education Week, the library offers a workshop on using Open Educational Resources in the classroom.

Adopt, Don’t Shop: Free/Open Educational Resources

When: Wednesday, March 5, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Where: Online, via Teams

From textbooks to slides to course modules to videos, OERs are a way to make your courses more affordable, equitable, and current. This workshop, led by Scholarly Communications & Copyright Librarian Brianne Selman, covers the practical basics of finding, using, creating, and making OERs discoverable and the wealth of information available from the UW Library, such as the Open Education Resources Research Guide.

Note that this workshop is only open to members of the UWinnipeg community. Registration is required to attend.
