Library Closure: Winter Break

The Library will be closed from December 22 to January 1

As the Library prepares to close for the University's winter break, please note the following important dates and service updates:

• The Library and Archives will close at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025.
• We will reopen on Friday, January 2, with regular hours.
• The Reference Desk and Help Chat will be closed from December 22 through January 2.
• Reference services will reopen on Monday, January 5, with new hours (10-4:30 Monday to Friday)
• Library items returned over the break will be checked in upon the Library's reopening and will be backdated to December 22, 2025.
• Interlibrary Loans will not be available during the break.

Please note that all Interlibrary Loan items due during the break must be returned by noon on Monday, December 22, 2025. You can email ill@uwinnipeg.ca to request an extension. Renewals are at the discretion of the lending library and are not guaranteed.
