Joshua J. Herter
User Experience (UX) and Assessment Librarian
Josh (he/him) is the cross-functional lead for assessment, user research, and data reporting at the UWinnipeg Library. In his role he manages the capture, analysis, and reporting of library operational and user data used to evaluate and plan library services, resources, and facilities. Josh currently serves on the UWinnipeg Human Research Ethics Board (UHREB) and is a member of the Canadian Association of Research Libraries' (CARL) Statistics Working Group. He has over a decade of experience in quantitative and qualitative methods spanning clinical research, market analysis, and academic library roles in the US and Canada. Professionally and academically, he writes and presents on topics related to UX, data visualization, and strategic reporting. Creatively, he writes about video games while fearing it will one day turn into something professional.
