Learn tips to simplify your research process
The Ready, Set, Go workshops are back for this winter term! Join our librarian Ian Fraser to explore the types of information sources present in our collections, how you can find them and use them in your work while avoiding academic misconduct. Through five different sessions, Ian will give you all the tips you need to make your research easier and save some time.
5 different workshops to help you at each step of the process
- Library Databases (January 17, 12:30 - 1:00pm): Learn what types of information sources are in the library's databases and how to find them.
- Finding Credible Sources (January 31, 1:00 - 1:30pm): Discuss evaluating sources so you can be sure the information you're using is credible.
- Reading Strategies (February 21, 12:30 - 1:00pm): Discover the strategies you can use to read and understand even the most challenging academic texts.
- Search Strategies (February 28, 1:00 - 1:30pm): Learn how to construct thoughtful searches so that you can find those 3-5 academic sources your professor is asking for.
- Academic Integrity and Misconduct (March 13, 12:30 - 1:00pm): Talk about what constitutes academic misconduct and what strategies you can use to avoid it.
All workshops are held online and registration is required if you want to participate.
