This Spring Term, the library offers four Ready, Set, Go workshops. Our Librarian, Ian Fraser, will show you how to construct thoughtful searches and how to use Google Scholar, Web of Science and Zotero. From 12:30 to 1:00 p.m., join us in the library Group Study - East Room or online to improve your research skills! Note that registration is required if you want to participate.
- Search Strategies (May 8): Learn how to construct thoughtful searches so that you can find those 3-5 academic sources your professor is asking for.
- Searching Google Scholar (May 22): Discover the most useful features of Google Scholar, one of the most popular academic search engines.
- Searching Web of Science (June 5): Learn how to use Web of Science, an excellent database for exploring the academic literature across disciplines.
- Citing and Referencing with Zotero (June 19): Learn how to organize and cite your sources by using Zotero, a free citation management tool.
