Lauren McGaw
Head of Access Services
Lauren (she/her) is head of the library's Access Services unit, consisting of the Circulation, Interlibrary Loan, and Course Reserves departments. Her role includes significant operational planning and management, as well as training, mentorship, and policy development for the majority of frontline services. Lauren ensures that the library's resources, facilities, and services are available for use by library patrons and that operations reflect the library's commitment to safety, inclusivity, and accessibility. Lauren is an active member of the academic library public services community and regularly participates in the annual Access Services Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. She is currently disseminating her work on the UWinnipeg Syllabus Service - a novel program that streamlines course reserves processing for faculty members.
