Reserves Due August 13
Wed. Aug. 2, 2023
To ensure materials are available when classes start, please submit requests by August 13, 2023. Requests received after the deadline will be processed as quickly as possible but may not be ready before classes begin. All submissions are processed on a first come, first served basis. This includes items uploaded directly to ReserveReadings in Nexus and items copied from previous courses, which must be reviewed by staff before they are made available to students.
Course Reserves on Nexus
All materials will be made available in the ReserveReadings tab in Nexus. Please be sure to request and activate your Nexus course before placing materials on reserve. If your students require access to course reserves outside of the standard term dates, please contact reserve@uwinnipeg.ca so we can update the activation period accordingly.
Copyright Compliance
All course reserves must comply with The University of Winnipeg's Copyright Policy, meaning scanned excerpts must not exceed 10% or one chapter of a book, or one article per issue of a journal. The Library can help you assess whether your materials meet the guidelines and find solutions to copyright concerns that ensure your students will have access to their required readings.
Submitting Course Reserves
Save time by emailing your reading list to the Syllabus Service and Library staff will handle all aspects of processing. Alternatively, you or your teaching assistant can upload individual items directly into the ReserveReadings tab in Nexus. Whichever method you choose, we recommend submitting all of your materials at the same time to expedite processing. For more information, please see our course reserve page.
If you have any questions, please contact reserve@uwinnipeg.ca.
