WinnSpace Help
Any University of Winnipeg Faculty member is encouraged to submit their works - including articles, conference papers, reports, and other grey literature - to WinnSpace, Uwinnipeg's Open Access Repository. Students are encouraged to submit their theses.
There are two easy ways to do this: self archiving, or full service help.
In order to have one of our specialists assist you with submissions, contact winnspace@uwinnipeg.ca with your CV or other materials you would like submitted to the IR. It would assist us greatly if you could include:
- citation information
- abstracts and relevant keywords (if not already included in the text of the material)
- a copy of your publication agreement, if you have it
- files if you wish to publish a pre- or post-print
The WinnSpace team will identify any copyright issues, and inform you which items/ copies are eligible for deposit. Please note that some publishers specify that only post-print versions (sometimes called the manuscript, or unformatted version) are eligible, in which case we need you to provide that copy.
The WinnSpace team can also assist you with:
- securing permissions to archive previously published material
- requesting permission for publisher's PDF version (template available for download)
- keeping copies of publisher's agreements (not available for public viewing)
- submitting materials to be automatically visible at the end of an embargo period
- making older print material accessible
