Scholarly Journal Articles

Academic journal articles are the backbone of scholarly research. They are written by and for academics and are published by universities or scholarly associations. Importantly, most are peer-reviewed, which means that articles are reviewed by a panel of experts in the field of study before they appear in the journal. The Library enables access to over 150,000 academic journal titles.

You can access these in a number of ways:

Browse by Title: Choose this option to view and/or search our list of journal titles. This is most useful if you already know the particular title, issue, or year that you're looking for.

Search the Catalogue: The vast majority of our journal articles can be accessed through the main search box on the homepage. 

Search Databases: Many of our scholarly journal titles can be accessed through subject-specific databases, which allow you to use more advanced search techniques and language specific to the discipline.
